Initial D Fifth Stage Survey

Three days ago, we ask you the fans what you think of Fifth Stage. We have some statistics to talk about now. As of this posting, we had 406 fans voted. Out of all who voted, 327 voted 10/10, 25 voted 9/10, 23 voted 8/10, 21... voted 7/10 and 7 voted 6/10. The most "vocal" group (the ones who actually left a comment) are the ones who voted 7/10.

It seems like majority of you have already fall in love with Fifth Stage. Only a handful criticize on the art style and the overall feel of the Fifth Stage. However, it's too early to draw a conclusion of how Fifth Stage will be like. Maybe those who voted 7/10 will give it a higher rating when the series concludes. It just seem very one-sided now, mostly from the excitement of Fifth Stage, and that's a good thing.

As more Fifth Stage episodes get released, the fans will have more to say about it. This concludes our little survey for the fans.

Drifting in the Sky

The tofu business is doing very good. People from all around the world are demanding the fried tofu from the Fujiwara Tofu Shop. As a result, Bunta is expanding his business to the world. He is now training Takumi to drift in... the sky and deliver those freshly made tofu to many countries around the world.

To save time, the delivery will be made in mid-air, you guessed it, by dropping the bomb wherein the tofu sits safely inside. Takumi has been drifting in the sky after Project D ended, he is now a legendary delivery pilot that no one can beat.

Initial D Fifth Stage ACT.2 Subbed

Since no fansubs group has come forward to sub Episode 2, we at Initial D World needed to do something for the fans. So we came out with our own subtitles for Episode 2. These are translated from Chinese translation, so the accuracy might suffer a little. These are English subtitle embedded as Close Captioning on YouTube. Make sure the CC icon is on to view the subtitle. One of our members on the forums also converted it to srt format that's available for download in the Official Ep. 1&2 Thread, it's useful when you have the RAW file on your computer and don't want to watch it on YouTube. Initial D Fifth Stage Seiyuu

It has been more than 16 hours since the airing of Fifth Stage Episode 2, but the RAW is still nowhere to be found. Not many people have the Animax PPV channel and the fact that it has digital copy-protection are factors... that's making Episode 2 RAW unlikely to surface quickly like Episode 1 did. We estimate Episode 2 RAW will most likely come out in the next 24 to 48 hours.

In the meantime, let's learn a little about the seiyuu (voice actor/actress) for Fifth Stage. First of all, we have Takumi Fujiwara whose voice actor is Shinichiro Miki. Mr. Miki is a very popular voice actor. He had done voice acting on numerous Anime titles. Some of the most popular series he has done were Kisuke Urahara from Bleach; Kurz Weber from Full Metal Panic!; and Kojiro (Team Rocket) from Pokemon. And then we have Itsuki Takeuchi‎, whose voice actor is Mitsuo Iwata. Mr. Iwata is known for his leading voice acting role in Akira as Kaneda. And last but not least we have Ryousuke Takahashi, whose voice actor Takehito Koyasu is even more popular than Takumi's voice actor. Mr. Koyasu is known for his leading role in One Piece as Admiral Aokiji.

If you want to learn more about Fifth Stage's seiyuu, here are some names you can look up;

Encounter of Destiny

Remember how Kazumi and Itsuki first met in Second Stage? Let me refresh your memories. Itsuki was admiring how awesome Wataru's 86 Levin looks but Kazumi thought Itsuki was trying to do something bad to her brother's... ride. Okay, so the two got off on the wrong foot. Does that sound familiar now with Takumi's situation? I won't spoil it for you, though.

Initial D Fifth Stage ACT.1 Subbed

Well, apparently the preview on the 4th was actually broadcasted as HD (720p) and the RAW of that finally surfaced today. SAGE Fansubs has released their subs yesterday. We here on IDW were able to convert that subtitle to YouTube closed captioning. You can now stream the first episode in HD quality with English subtitle. Just be sure to turn on the CC symbol and watch it at 720p!! We are all very excited here as you can see. Without further ado, here's the video. =)

Initial D Arcade Stage 7 AAX Location Test

There are many good news for Initial D this month. The location test for Initial D Arcade Stage 7 AAX has just finished today and the response was absolutely fantastic. SEGA is planning to release it some time at the end of this... month. This coincide with the release of Fifth Stage The Anime. Absolutely wonderful, this is going to be a great month.
